Welcome to Bristlecone Blog, a space to explore earth-care and intentional living from the perspective of Flagstaff local Rachel Davis.

Rachel is working toward forming an intentional and sustainable community in Northern Arizona and plans to document the process – from alternative housing, food, and helpful products to creative uses for land, appreciating natural spaces, and ways to achieve a meaningful concept of community.

Bristlecone Pines can live thousands of years in the harshest of climates. Their slow growth, creative twisting and reshaping, and perseverance make them a fitting symbol for sustainability.
